Blessing Baskets

The saying ʽevery picture tells a storyʼ is so true in this case. An organization called The Blessing Basket Project was developed to help women in Ghana, Indonesia, Uganda and Bangladesh lift themselves out of bondage and poverty by paying them a ʽprosperity wageʼ (far more than a ʽfair tradeʼ wage). These women do what we would with the money they earn, they build schools and medical facilities for their villages. Their superior craftsmanship produces sturdy, useful, beautiful baskets. Like the women who make these, we use our baskets everyday. Help them, and you give the gift of a better life to each weaver, who personally ʽsignsʼ each of their baskets.
